Chinese researchers make new progress in photovoltaic cell manufacturing
column:industry news Release time:2022-10-05

Xinhua News Agency, Nanjing, November 11 (Reporter Chen Xiyuan) The reporter learned from Nanjing University of Technology on the 11th that the university’s scientific research team has made new progress in the field of photovoltaic cell manufacturing, breaking through the key technology of preparing perovskite thin films by screen printing technology. . Related papers were recently published online by the international academic journal Nature.

According to reports, perovskite is the current research focus in the field of photovoltaic cells. Compared with traditional polycrystalline silicon solar panels, perovskite can be used to manufacture soft photovoltaic films. Huang Wei, the co-corresponding author of the paper and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that this achievement proposes a solution for screen-printed perovskite active materials and devices. The related full screen-printed devices have the advantages of simple process and high stability.

“Screen printing is considered to be an ideal technical route for manufacturing perovskite thin films.” Professor Chen Yonghua, co-corresponding author of the paper and deputy dean of the School of Flexible Electronics (Future Technology) of Nanjing University of Technology, said that screen printing technology has been applied in the industry , but it cannot be used to produce perovskite photoactive layers. The key to solving this problem lies in inks.

Han Huchen, co-first author of the paper and a postgraduate student at Nanjing University of Technology, told reporters that the team successfully developed an ionic liquid perovskite printing ink with controllable viscosity, adjustable components, and stable storage in air, which solved the problem of screen printing calcium The technical problem of titanium oxide film, the thickness, area and pattern of the printed film can be precisely controlled.

“Manufacturing perovskite photovoltaic devices usually involves five or six processes, each requiring five or six pieces of equipment. We have optimized the production process and can produce all four functions of perovskite photovoltaic cells with one method of screen printing Layers, to achieve ‘one pot stew’.” Chen Yonghua said.

Experimental results show that the printing speed of screen-printed perovskite films can reach more than 20 centimeters per second, and the produced perovskite photovoltaic devices have a photoelectric conversion efficiency of 14.98%. Chen Yonghua said that the team has successfully prepared a square film with a side length of 15 cm, and the next step will be to prepare a film with a side length of 50 cm.
