ODF fiber optic distribution frame is a fiber optic distribution device specially designed for fiber optic communication equipment room. The main functional requirements of ODF optical fiber distribution frame:

1. Optical cable fixing and protection functions. There should be optical cable introduction, fixing and protection devices. This device guides the optical cable and fixes it on the frame to protect the optical cable and the fiber core in the cable from damage. The metal part of the optical cable is insulated from the metal frame, and the fixed metal sheath and reinforcing core of the optical cable should be reliably connected to the high-voltage protective grounding device.

2. Optical fiber termination function. There shall be a fiber optic termination device. The device is convenient for the connection operation, construction, installation and maintenance of the optical fiber core and pigtail. It can fix and protect the straightness of the joint without displacement, avoid the influence of external force, and ensure that the core and pigtail of the coiled optical cable are not damaged.

3. Jumper function. Through the optical fiber jumper connector plug, the number of cores in the optical cable can be quickly and conveniently scheduled and the route sequence of the optical transmission system can be changed.

4. The protection function of optical fiber core and pigtail. There is a protective device for the fiber core after the cable is stripped, and a termination device for the incoming fiber after fixing.

5. Capacity. The capacity of each rack and unit (determined by the number of adapters) should be stipulated in the product enterprise standard, and the optical fiber terminal device, optical fiber storage device, and optical fiber connection distribution device should be configured in a complete set within the full capacity range.

6. Identification record function. There should be complete identification and recording devices in the racks and units for easy identification of fiber core numbers or transmission path sequences, and the recording devices should be easy to modify and replace.

7. Fiber storage function. There should be enough space in the rack and unit to store the remaining optical fibers.

8. Switch services. When the ODF cabinet or the base station needs to be relocated, a relocation plan will be issued, and the services on the original equipment will be replaced on another line. At this time, the service may be disconnected when the optical cable is cut, but this situation rarely occurs. , because the base station PTN equipment will generate a one-way optical LOS alarm, and the service will be automatically switched at that time without causing service interruption.
