(2) Peak and valley electricity price arbitrage: The most direct way for photovoltaic users to add energy storage capacity to realize value is to arbitrage peak and valley electricity prices. Users can charge their own energy storage battery at a cheaper valley electricity price when the load is low, and transfer part or all of the load to the self-owned energy storage battery when the load is peak. The profit it can obtain can be estimated by the sum of the peak electricity price minus the valley electricity price and the cost of energy storage. The size of the profit depends on the difference in peak and valley electricity prices and the size of the battery cost.

 

 

(3) Ensure the stability of power grid operation: my country’s photovoltaic installed capacity has grown rapidly in the past two years, and the penetration rate of photovoltaic power generation without energy storage has increased, which will inevitably affect the stability of the power grid. If the output of photovoltaic power generation is too large, there will inevitably be a phenomenon of backflow in the local power grid, which will increase the difficulty of power grid dispatching and affect the safety of power grid operation. The installation of energy storage batteries on the user side can form a buffer layer on the low-voltage side to absorb part of the photovoltaic power generation with excessive output, which is convenient for the dispatching department to control the power flow and ensure the stability of the power grid operation.
