Product Overview

The Cap-Type Fiber Optic Cable Closure, also known as a fiber optic splice closure, is a vertical cylindrical cap-shaped outdoor fiber splice protection device used for straight-through and branch splicing protection. The housing is molded as a single piece from high-strength modified polymer plastic, offering flame-retardant, impact-resistant, and UV-aging-resistant properties. Combined with a polyolefin vulcanized silicone rubber sealing ring, it achieves an IP68 mechanical sealing protection rating, blocking out rainwater, temperature fluctuations, and microbial erosion, and resisting damage to fiber splice points from vibration, impact, and cable tension/torsion. It uses a differentiated sealing structure: a rotary-press mechanical seal for cut cable ports and a direct-press mechanical seal for uncut cable ports, compatible with Φ10 to 17.5mm cables. No heat-shrink sealing is required, simplifying installation. The product holds multiple utility patents and offers excellent repeat-sealing performance. It supports multiple installation methods including wall mounting, pole mounting, and manhole deployment, and is compatible with aerial, duct, and direct-buried cable line projects.
